having marked himself out as a producer to keep an eye on with his previous releases on tusk wax, hot waves & glasgow underground we are proud to welcome lee webster to the local talk family.lee keeps it pretty much straight forward on all night vibes ep and delivers a neat package of four to the flour house tracks, bouncy with strong vocal hooks and memorable melodies all the way. punch a crocodiles wonky bassline, the airy chords in get lost, the vocal samples in wax your body and lean rhythm in all night vibes are all fine indicators of where lees real talent lies and makes him a great fit for local talk. sometimes simplicity is the key to make your tracks memorable and this young cat knows how to work it like that. local talk is talking to you!

for release number six we have invited gothenburgs very own jackmaster sankt goeran. a devoted record collector and dj extraordinaire. the a side, local legend, is a 10 minute long acid train with a jackin beat. the b side, wallenberg6, is a melodic, sun drenched jam with a tasteful disco vibe. a versatile ep thats pressed on a white marbled vinyl. artwork made by kid kroft.

last year kyodai dropped breaking, which to date is the biggest selling release on local talk. now the brothers are back with in our opinion a future house anthem. the scene is a classic piano house cut that’s impossible to resist and together with one the coolest vocal samples we’ve ever heard we think this has the potential to go really big. when the breakdown drops we’re pretty sure everybody in the club will chant. but as if this was not enough we also got another big tune on the b-side. moving is the continuation of “breaking” and goes along the same lines with its crossover jazz styled house. once again kyodai delivers a supa solid house production with large jazz breakdowns and old school vocals that’s right up their with ”breaking”. this is also why we called it…breaking pt.2. kyodai is currently working on their debut album for local talk which is due later this year. they’re also travelling around the world with their amazing live dj set that we highly recommend. trust us when we say that these two brothers really now how to turn up the heat in a club…serious biz!

its time to celebrate our 20th release on local talk and we do it with a very special release. mike sharon might not be a known name yet but trust us, this guy is going places and his ep for local talk is one of those eps that lives up to everything we believe in when it comes to house music.

andreas saag returns to local talk with a follow-up to his back to life ep, this time he has invited longtime friend and studio partner cazuma mori, together both of them offers the local talk fans house music with a distinctive production technique. >nostalgia< is a warm stomping basement beats floor-filler, with a fat bassline tempered by rising chord textures, smartly coordinated with the pulses in the track. both saag & cazuma showcases their skills in tackling slower bpms too. the b-side >cant hide it< comes with intricate keyboard work and deep atmosphere that is driven by an appealingly on-point house bassline. the track picks up a new elements at just the right moment to keep you on board the whole 8 minutes. there is no messin around here, just pure deep house from local talk.

one of the most anticipated comebacks on local talk is finally here! their debut on local talk >moody< caused a big stir on the house charts and made the #01 at traxsource deep house 100 and still gets praise from djs all over the globe including karizma, steve bug, joey negro, the revenge and kerri chandler. the dynamic duo is now back with a even stronger ep doing what they do best, delivering two stunning vocal house tracks. the reaction mad mats & tooli got when they heard >trapped!< was unanimous -­- tune alert! using a colonel abrams acapella from 1985 and fusing it with a jacking track that retains the spirit of the dirtytwo sound & can only cause one thing, dancefloor mayhem. on the flip is >i m feelin< - a slighty more modern house burner that features old friend and pre dirtytwo fame spanka! vocalist frosche.

local talk is proud to present the first release on their sub-label 1nce again. this is where we bring back classic and forgotten house gems from back in the day with new mixes and reworks. with the second release on local talks reissue sub label, 1nce again we bring back one of our personal underground favourites from the golden age of house music (the early 90s). back in 1994 mateo & matos released an ep on black label records entitled raw elements, which included an amazing cut called >maw basics<. its one of those raw 90s house jams that got the house bump but without the pump, its rough and funky but still deep if you know what we mean? no cheese in sight! together with the original track (now fully re-mastered) we also asked gerd (4lux, ny stomp) to make a remix that would stay true to the original but still bring it to the next level. the result is absolutely amazing and we are pretty confident that this baby will deliver knock out punches every time it blasts through a massive sound system in a proper club.

next up on the much hyped local talk label from stockholm comes a straight up house burner from polish dj and producer tanzlife. with a combo of soul drenched vocal samples and jackin electronic house theories tanzlife has got a big club winner ready to drop. the ep delivers two outstanding tracks entitled heart attack and cold fire, both with a seriously classy house feel that really hits the spot if you have been a fan of local talks previous releases. even before the tracks were signed to local talk they gained support from such diverse djs like claude von stroke, dj ionik (traveller rec) and dairmount (room with a view). local talk is talking to you!

local action kick off 2012 with a pair of vinyl-only tracks by dj q, including the massively hyped brandy & coke.qs a regular dj on londons radio 1xtra, a legend in the uks bassline house scene, and his remix of wooo riddim (released on butterz last year) is one of the best grime tracks of recent years. here he proves that he can make garage with a million times more swing and soul than all that future garage / post-dubstep stuff going around – basically, he’s the real deal. comes packaged on heavyweight red vinyl in a clear plastic sleeve with sticker. early support from brenmar, sinden, scratcha dva, mixmag, brodinski and those that know.

local talk is proud to present the first release on their sub-label 1nce again. this is where we bring back classic and forgotten house gems from back in the day with new mixes and reworks. for our first release we have gone back to 97 and a producer known and respected worldwide in the house music community with more than 200 production credits under his belt. joshua michaels aka joshua iz perhaps best known for his collabs with dwayne washington as iz & diz but has of course used many other pseudonyms over the years for releases on labels like prescription, balance, classic, junior boys own, om and guidance. the return was first released on heard, sub-label to tom middletons evolution / universal language productions ltd. using his moniker circulation. the track can easily be described as a mammoth house track, clocking in just over 12 minutes. its one of those pieces of music that’s stood the test of time and why iz has been a major force in electronic music for so many years. on the flip much hyped duo prommer & barck stripped it down from its original costume leaving not much left of the source material resulting in something that we best could describe as old school warehouse meets uk bass. its pretty raw and definitely a basement sureshot!

william anthony bois was born in stockholm, sweden, in 1991. he expressed an early interest in music, especially electronic music. whilst william demonstrated a natural tallent for piano composition from an early age, in 2003 he began channeling his creativity into house music after a friend introduced him to fruity loops. early street dancing lessons introduced him to funk which has been a source of inspiration ever since the age of nine. he continued the dancing with the dance group funky 4 brothers and has performed around europe and sweden. william also studied music production and sound engineering at sixth form college. this background has given him a firm foundation from which to express his music through a variety of rhythms and tone that give his music an individual flavour.

release number four on upcoming swedish label local talk brings more of that local talk talent, this time we are presenting an ep by swedish producer andreas saag. andreas is no newcomer to the scene, with releases on freerange, a room with a view, rebirth, deepermotions, artizan and tokyo dawn records out and remixes for laurent garnier, joy orbison, portformat and danny howells, he has become a favourite among many djs and producers. his debut for local talk, back to life ep, contains two stunning house jams that aims straight for the dancefloors. the main track is a piano and strings driven house monster that almost sounds like an updated version of >strings of life< but with a deep/tech feel. should be big in the main rooms! on the second track mr saag delivers a house cut that sounds like its straight out of south africa with a raw tech/afro feel. its dark, deep, percussive and 100% house!

label owner, ryuji takeuchi, is on duty to drop another bomb for the 2nd release on his own local sound network (lsn) label. while the 1st release, final weapon ep, is still hot, ryuji really shows his definition of techno with his unique style, which can be well described by these 2 words: tense and relax. on the a side,heart beats solid kicks you in the head with its dark, evil and brutal elements. audio injection, l.a. based techno producer, adds another essence of darkness and deepness to it and gets your heart beaten even more straight. on the b side,heart beats tight represents more straight and hypnotic side of techno. bosnian all time favorite, mikatek aka dj mika, gives some funk and space to it and keeps your heart beaten tighter. anyone could hardly stop its heart beaten with this ep, and thats what this ep stands for. make sure to keep your mind open for the upcoming releases on this local sound network imprint.
